High school counselors will find out new ways they can support students at our next Niagara University Counselor Breakfast Series, "The Evolution of College Admissions." As you enjoy breakfast, our team will lead a discussion to provide more details, as another school year comes to a close.

Learn about past and new methods to assist college-bound students from keynote speaker, David Coates, a retired school counselor from Kenmore East Senior High School with 30 years of experience. He is a past president for the New State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC), and has served on numerous college advisor committees, both locally and nationally.

    During this session:

    • Learn approaches to help students and families through the changing college search and admissions process
    • Find out why student extracurricular activities, volunteering, and sports are so important
    • Be the first to know about changes for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form
    • Learn more about the Niagara University Opportunity Program (NUOP)
    • Network with college personnel

Our academic deans and staff will share insight about what current student pathways are like in our majors, like:

    • Business
    • Criminal Justice
    • Environmental Science
    • Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management
    • Nursing
    • Theatre and Fine Arts

We’ll also share examples on how our NU academic degree programs prepare students for the job market. Tours will be available to view Niagara's beautiful campus.
